Helen L. Donelson

Helen Louise Donelson, 79, of Davenport, passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at her home. Funeral services will be at 11:30 AM Saturday, January 8, 2011 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be one hour before services at the mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Scott County Humane Society. She was born on February 25, 1931 in Jefferson City, MO, the daughter of Roy Oscar and Ida Elizabeth (Smith) Bailey. She was married to Ted Wayne Davis April 29, 1946. He passed away October 31, 1971. She married Virgil Walker Donelson June 16, 1973. He died July 9, 2007.

She was an amateur cake decorator, had strong faith and loved her family, cooking and crocheting.

She is survived by her sons, Roy Jess Davis and Jeffery Allen Davis; five grandchildren, Jeffey, Michael, Lori, Cari, and Amy; five great grandchildren, Kyle, Emily, Elizabeth, Jack and Molly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands; her son, Ted Wayne Davis; sister, Marian Elizabeth Davis; and brother, Roy Oscar Bailey, Jr.
