Helen A. Carlin

Funeral services for Helen A. Carlin, 87, of Davenport, IA will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Davenport. Inurnment will be at a later date. Family will greet friends on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Mrs. Carlin died on Sunday, January 31, 2010, at Manor Care - Utica Ridge in Davenport, IA. Cunnick-Collins Mortuary and Cremation Service assisted the family with arrangements.Helen Arlene Kitzman was born in Clinton, WI on September 24, 1922, the daughter of Carl and Helena (Kudart) Kitzman. On August 19, 1939, she married Lawrence E. Carlin. Mrs. Carlin was a loving mother, a caring and significant part of all who crossed her path. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Davenport, and very active in Davenport CASI. She is survived by a Daughter: Christine (Jerry) Harrison of Long Grove, IA; three Sons: Brian (Joyce) Carlin of New Glarus, WI, Larry (Marti) Carlin of Dallas, TX, Roger (Eloise) Carlin of Las Vegas, NV; two Brothers: Ronald (Bettye) Kitzman of Santa Barbara, CA, Calvin (Mardelle) Kitzman of Blue Grass, IA; 13 Grandchildren and numerous Great-grandchildren.In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Fowler; two brothers, Victor and Carl; and a granddaughter, Rachel.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your favorite charity or to Davenport CASI.
