Harry E. Boll

Private family services were held for Harry E. Boll, 90, of Davenport. Inurnment will be at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Boll passed away on Friday, March 1, 2013 at Genesis Medical Center – West Campus, Davenport. Mr. Boll served in the United States Army as a combat photographer during World War II. Following his military obligation, he married Jenne Strzelecki. She preceded him in death in 1999. Mr. Boll worked for the Quad City Times as a photographer for 49 years prior to his retirement. He is survived by his children: Greg (Cynthia) Boll of Davenport, Robyn (Brian) Nelson of Escondido, CA; five Grandchildren: Meredith (Rob) Hughes of Davenport, Heather (Michael) Hendricks of Davenport, Alison Boll of Davenport, Oliver Nelson of Escondido, CA, Sam Nelson of Escondido, CA; and three Great-grandchildren: Emerson and Pheonix Hughes, Gregory Hendricks. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
