Glenda L. Oldaker, 79, of Davenport, Iowa; passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at 2pm at Weerts Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12pm – 2pm before the service. Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial’s in Glenda’s name may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church.
Glenda was born on March 24, 1942 to Francis and Marjorie Farrell in Davenport, Iowa. She was the last class to graduate from Davenport High School before it came to be known as Davenport Central High School. On August 6, 1992 she was united in marriage to Keith Oldaker at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Glenda was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church. She loved to fill her spare time making ceramics and giving them as gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, or at the holidays. Family was everything for Glenda; she made sure to never miss a sporting event or concert for her children, grandchildren, or her nieces and nephews. She made sure that everyone felt cared for and loved, even if it was someone that she just met. Glenda loved watching the Iowa Hawkeyes, the Chicago Cubs, and the Chicago Bears; she never missed watching a game on TV. She loved to watch Christmas movies all year long.
Those left to honor her memory are her husband Keith; children Ken (Sarah) Oldaker, Deborah (Jeff) Morrison, Gary Oldaker, Raymond (Deb) Detlefs, and Anna Oldaker; ten beautiful grandchildren; a very special great-grandson Fox Detlefs; brother Greg (Sandy) Farrell; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings Gordon, Gaylen and Gloria Farrell.
