Geraldine B. Hartman

Funeral services for Geraldine B. “Geri” Hartman, 89, of Davenport, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at the Cunnick-Collins Mortuary Chapel in Davenport. Burial will follow at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 12:00 noon until service time at the mortuary. Mrs. Hartman died on Friday, December 2, 2011 at the Davenport Lutheran Home. Geraldine Bertha Schnoor was born on July 20, 1922 in LaMotte, IA, the daughter of William and Edna (Reeg) Schnoor. On June 24, 1942 she was united in marriage to George P. Hartman in St. Donatus, IA. She was employed for over 25 years as a dial assignment clerk at the former Northwestern Bell Telephone Company. In later years she worked part time and did some modeling at Catherine’s. Mrs. Hartman was a former member the Zion Lutheran Church in Davenport and attended Faith United Church of Christ for many years. She enjoyed playing cards and especially participating in various Euchre tournaments. She and her husband loved to travel and throughout their marriage visited all 50 states. Surviving members of the family include – 2 Daughters: Susan (Mark) Lotspeich and Linda (James) Behan both of Davenport; 1 Son: David (Marcia) Hartman of Blue Grass, IA; 1 Brother: Norman (Alice) Schnoor of McCausland; 10 Grandchildren and 14 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and 2 brothers: Donald and Kenneth. Memorials may be made to Hospice Compasses.
