George C. Munn, 86, of LeClaire, passed away Friday, February 7, 2020 at his home with his loving family by his side. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2020 from 4-7pm at Weerts Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 14, 2020 at 10am at Hope Church, 1811 18th St Bettendorf, IA. Burial will be at the Rock Island National Cemetery following the service. George was born on October 8, 1933 to Marion and Sarah Munn in Kirksville, Missouri. He was united in marriage to Sally Frame on July 3, 1959. George served with the United States Army for 3 years. He worked for 38 years as a machinist/fabricator for Kartridge Pak before he retired. George loved to go hunting and fishing when his health allowed him. He enjoyed watching Western movies and his beloved Chicago Cubs. George also liked to draw, write poems, and collect coins.
Those left to honor his memory are his wife, Sally; children: Cheryl (Bob) Rangel, Lisa (Terry) Strawhacker, Jeffrey (Debbie) Munn, and Kimberly Munn; grandchildren: Mandy, Amy, Jordan, Christie, Amanda, Shawn, Derrick, Ashley, Nicole, and Mariah; and 19 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, 1 sister, and his grandson Matthew.
