Genevieve E. Miller

Celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 7, 2019 at 2pm at Weerts Funeral Home, Jersey Ridge and Kimberly. Visitation will be Friday from 12-2pm. Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park following the service. Memorials in Genevieve’s name may be made to the family.

Genevieve was born in 1932, in Seymour, Iowa to Earl and Flo Wilson. As the eldest of five siblings, she was lovingly called "Big Sis" by her siblings. She graduated from Seymour High School. Following high school, she moved to Davenport where she lived at Lend A Hand and worked at Woolworths as a stone pocket waitress where she met her future husband freshly returned from the Korean War. She was united in marriage to Robert E. Miller, Sr on April 3, 1956; he passed away on November 4, 1989. Her greatest job was raising five wonderful children, who she taught about the Lord. After her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; her greatest love was serving the Lord and she made it to her final touchdown.

Those left to honor Genevieve’s memory are her children: Robert (Brenda) Miller, Jr, Michael Miller, Neila Miller, Douglas (Charlotte) Miller, and Patrick (Carla) Miller; nine grandchildren: Chas, Rashell, Amy, Christopher, Carlena, Kirsten, Tara, Robert, and Kevin; 17 great-grandchildren; three sisters: Bonnadine, Dwalla, and Rosella; and two brothers Larry and Jerry. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert and her parents.
