Cremation will be done with a memorial service to be held at 10:30am Friday, November 17, 2023 at Zion Lutheran Church, 1216 W. 8th Street Davenport, IA. Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church Davenport. Condolences may be shared at www.rungemortuary.com.
Gail was born August 3, 1938 in Chicago, IL to Thomas & Bernice (Sievert) Abbs. She was orphaned at the age of 4 and was raised by her great aunt & uncle Erma & Pete Dau in Davenport.
Gail had been employed as an abstractor with Davenport Bank, First Federal Savings, and Brubaker, Flynn, & Darland pc prior to going out on her own. In her retirement she worked as an APRIS reader for Augustana College.
She was lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church Davenport having been confirmed there in 1951. She was a former church council member, bethel teacher, and sang in the choir. She was an avid sports fan especially the Iowa Hawkeyes and the St. Louis Cardinals.
She is survived by several cousins and many friends.
