Fred P. Tague “Gumpy”, 75, of Davenport passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at St. Mary Healthcare in Davenport. Funeral services will be held Monday 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark Lutheran Church. Visitation will be Sunday from 3-6 p.m. at The Runge Mortuary and Crematory. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church, Davenport. He was born September 13, 1935 in Des Moines, IA the son of Rex and Vivian (Dietrich) Tague. He was united in marriage to Betty Thompson on March 16, 1957 in Davenport.
Fred was a hairdresser for 46 years. He owned and operated Fred’s Beauty Salon, retiring in 2001.

He was a member of the National Guard, Northwest Business Association and Davenport Hairdresser Association.
He loved refinishing woodwork and furniture, and was an all around handyman. Fred loved to spend time with his grandchildren.
Those left to honor his memory include his loving wife Betty of 53 years, mother, Vivian Tague, son and fiancée, Steve (Denise Martin) Tague, McDonough, GA; son Rick (Angie) Tague, Davenport, daughter Jackie (Jim) Wright, Davenport; grandchildren Lindsey O’Connor, Ryan, Nathan and Christopher Tague, Jason, John and Jennifer Wright, Justin Tague; 2 great grandsons; brother Gary Tague and sister Diane Garrity.
He was preceded in death by his father Rex Tague.
