Visitation is Saturday, at the church, from 10 AM till the time of service. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery, Davenport. Memorials may be made to the family.
Mr Hannah died peacefully on Tuesday, September 24th at home. He was born in 1937, in Isoia, MS, the son of Floyd and Vina Hannah. They then moved to Hot Springs Arkansas, where he married Vernail Johnson in 1962 and she died in August 1977. In October 1979, he married Molly Louise Harrington, she died January 26, 2016.
Fred worked at Frank’s Foundry, pouring molds, and then worked at ALCOA, finishing his career in the sanitation department. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church and the Steelworkers Union Local #105. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, yard work and being with his family. We will remember Fred always because of his generosity and hospitality to others.
Survivors include his children: Wanda Wyatt, and Bruce Johnson, both Clinton, IA; Albert (Terri) Johnson, Cedar Rapids, IA; David Gales, Brenda Hannah-Jones (Charles), Sharon Morgan, Leon Gales, Fred D. Jr (Regina) Hannah and Trina (Ron) Smith, all of Davenport; 28 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; brother, Arthur Hannah and sister, Vina Cook.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Clyde Edwards,Sr; his parents, brothers, Charles, Floyd Jr. and Frank Hannah Sr. and sisters, Flora Duncan, Mae, Margaret and Georgia Mae Hannah.
The family would like to thank his special caregiver, Lillie Clayborne.
