Evelyn C. Petersen

Evelyn C Petersen, 86, of Davenport, passed away October 19, 2017 at the Kahl Home, Davenport. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 22, 2017 from 3-5pm at The Runge Mortuary. Funeral Services will be Monday, October 23, 2017 at 10;00AM at the mortuary. Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be left to New Hope Presbyterian Church in Davenport. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rungemortuary.com. Evelyn was born on December 23, 1930 in Tipton, Iowa to Joseph S. and Cora (Nestle) Adams. She married Leroy “Pete” Petersen on December 29, 1951 in Davenport Iowa. He died on April 17, 1994. Evelyn was employed by Northwest Bell and Qwest Communications, retiring after 40 years. Evelyn enjoyed volunteering at the Mississippi Valley Blood Bank and the Davenport Art Museum, now Figge. She liked playing in her card club and loved flowers. She is survived by her children: Sandi (Steve) Bricker and Dennis (Vicki) Petersen; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren and a sister, Naomi (Fred) Haertjens. She is preceded by her parents, husband and a brother, Jerry.
