Per her wishes there will be no services. She will be laid to rest next to her loving husband, Julius Johannsen, in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.
Erna was born on June 19, 1930, in Davenport Iowa to Oscar and Delyla (Houseal) Allensworth. She was united in marriage to Julius Johannsen on June 4, 1949. They enjoyed 64 years of marriage until his passing in 2014.
Erna retired after many years as a secretary of several local businesses. She and her husband were deacons at New Hope Church (formerly West Park Church). Having a strong faith and devotion to the church brought her much joy and peace. She enjoyed sewing, embroidering and traveling.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Janice Mau; grandson, Jeffery Mau; granddaughter, Jennifer Keel; great-granddaughter, Avery Panganiban and great-grandson, Hunter Mau.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son-in-law, Gary Mau; brother, Melvin Allensworth and sister, Lucille Greer.
