Edward Carl Dyer, 90, of Indianola, died on Thursday, November 12, 2009, at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Indianola. There will be no services or visitation. Burial will be at Fairmount Cemetery at a later date. Edward Dyer was born on April 24, 1919 in Davenport, the son of Edward and Bessie (Norris) Dyer. He married Faye Hill in 1989 in Davenport. He worked as a Mechanical Engineer for Eagle Signal for 20 years, he then owned and operated Dyer Machine and Engineering in Walcott, retiring in 1980.Edward served in the Army Airforce during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion, Walcott. He enjoyed traveling and fishing.Survivors include his wife, Faye of Indianola, daughters; Rita (Jack) Kopf of Tucson,AZ, Cheryl Porter of Peoria,IL, and three grandchilden.He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Delbert Dyer and sister, Doris Landerville.
