Donna Jean Lane

Services will be Friday, November 3, 2023 at 12 pm at The Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be Friday from 11 am until noon at the mortuary. Her final resting place will be in the Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may go to One Foundation.

Donna was born June 18, 1953, the daughter of Richard and Angeline (Ragusa) Hooten. She graduated from Davenport Central High School. She married Paul R. Lane on October 31, 1993 In Eldridge. He preceded her in death on April 23, 2005.

Early in life, she enjoyed working at Tappa’s Steakhouse. She went on to be a children’s caretaker for many years prior to her retiring. She loved watching scary movies and shopping, especially for clothes and shoes.

Donna also enjoyed going out to eat, especially for breakfast. She was very near and dear to her many friends at New Choices and will be deeply missed.

Those left to honor her memory include her family at New Choices, son, Joshua A. Lane, Moline, stepson, Nathan L. Lane, Portland, OR, numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved cats, Precious and Cindy. In addition to her parents and husband, Donna was preceded in death by a brother, Vivan Sountris and step-brothers, Bill and TJ Paxston.
