Donald E. Woeckener, 80, of Davenport, died Sunday, April 14, 2013 at Select Specialty Hospital in Davenport. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at 10:00 am at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Bettendorf. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 16, 2013 from 4-7PM at the Runge Mortuary. He was born July 20, 1932 in Rock Island, IL; the son of Edwin and Iva (Wheeler) Woeckener. He married Peggy Nissen on March 15, 1969.

Don was employed as a machine operator at International Harvester in East Moline and enjoyed restoring cars, fishing and camping with his family. He was a member of the Multiple Sclerosis Support Group and Redeemer Lutheran Church in Bettendorf.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Peggy; son, Mark Woeckener; stepchildren, Randy Hawk, Debra Young, and Richard (Maribel) Hawk; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by son, Dan Hawk; grandson, Bryan Hawk; granddaughter, Jennifer Young; three brothers and three sisters.
