Dennis Townsley

Dennis Townsley, 63, of Muscatine, formerly of Davenport, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016 at his home. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2016 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the mortuary. Dennis was born on August 1, 1952 in Iowa City, IA, the son of Marlin and Jim Shrock. He served in the United States Navy from 1971 to 19 74 and retired from being a security guard. Survivors include son, Randy Townsley; daughters, Heidi and Matt Eggert and Samantha and Donald Goering; two grandsons, Dalton and Malakia; seven grand dogs; two grand cats; sister, Sandy and Raymond Townsley; brothers, Mike and JoJo Townsley, Roger and Mona Johnson, Rick and Claudia Townsley, and Ray Tapper; many nieces and nephews; his significant other, Jane; two lifelong friends, Mary Ann and Mary Lou and three step-daughters, Crystal, Barb and Liz. Dennis was called home by his parents; grandparents; infant son, DeWayne; sister, Vicky; grandson, Joshua and two grand dogs.
