David C. Parker, 80, of Davenport passed away Friday, January 29, 2016 at home. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at 10:00 am at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Davenport. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 4-7pm with a prayer service at 6:30 pm at the Runge Mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be left to the family. Online condolences can be left at www.rungemortuary.com. David was born January 5, 1936 in Davenport the son of Cyril and K. Mercedes (Walloch) Parker. He was united in marriage to Mary Ann Balzer on December 29, 1956 in Bettendorf. She preceded him in death in 2014. David was employed as a mill operator at ALCOA, retiring in 1984. He loved to hunt, fish and garden. He was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. Those left to honor his memory include his daughter, Mary Katherine Parker, East Moline, IL; sons: James Parker, Lowden, IA, William G. Parker, Davenport, and Robert (Lisa) Parker, Davenport; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; sisters: Mary Ann (Dennis) Hagemann, Sara Jane (Ronald) Lannan and brothers: Dennis Parker and Richard (Marla) Parker. He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Joe and Tommy; brothers: Patrick; Ronald and Gerard and a sister, Nancy Jo Van Hoosier
