We were surprised and saddened to hear of Dave's passing.  We were members of the Jefferson Business and Community Partners with Dave for many years. He was affectionately referred to as Hippie Dave, at his suggestion.   :)  Dave was always ready to volunteer his time for Jefferson students, staff, and families - bringing food and other items to the school OFTEN.  He always had a smile and a strong belief in volunteerism, which was very evident.   We know that Dave will be missed by many.  God be with the Miller Family as you mourn your loss and may the memories that mean the most to you live forever in your heart.

I'll miss seeing Dave at all the free summer concerts.  He was always taking lots of pictures and enjoying the music.  RIP Dave!

To the entire Miller family-your father was a WONDERFUL man, always a smile on his face, always so happy, and most of all always so helpful to anyone in need. David will truly be missed.  As Co-ordinator of the Asbury Garden Ministry,  I had the pleasure of working with David in our garden plot.  He was a dedicated volunteer spending much time in the garden.  He truly enjoyed bringing his grandson, Tony, to help in the garden; on occasion, he would also bring his granddaughter, Jojo, to the garden.  He often distributed harvested vegetables to various food pantries.  David was a fellow member of the QC Morning Optimist Club; he was one of my "table- mates" at our weekly breakfasts at the Hickory Grove restaurant. Dave was a very dedicated volunteer to River Bend Food Bank's NorthPark Mall Food Pantry.  Dave gave countless hours of service to our community of need.

Dearest Family of Dave,

I am shocked and saddened by Dave's passing - as I am sure you all are as well. 
     I saw and spoke with Dave just a few weeks ago - the first time our paths had crossed in a few years. It was so good to see and talk with him then, and now I am even more grateful for the chance to do so. 
       He was a dear, wise friend who shared his wisdom and guidance with me on many occasions,  and with  many others, as well.
     I will continue to hold Dave in my heart, and cherish the times we shared at many music and other events.

Dave was all about helping others. He worked with Jefferson school to see that families had special meals at Thanksgiving and Christmas, volunteered at the food bank, and helped the Parrot Heads raise money for those in need. Dave was also a dedicated member of the QC Morning Optimist Club, where he was in line to be our next President.  Now Dave will finally be able to see his idol—Jimmy Buffet. We will miss you, Dave…

We are saddened by Dave’s passing but we are encouraged that there is great joy in Heaven at his arrival.  Our prayers are with all of Dave’s many friends and especially his family.
