Dan A. Jensen, 66, of Davenport, died Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at Genesis West Medical Center. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 3:00 pm at The Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be Saturday from 1:00 pm until the service at the mortuary. Cremation rites will follow. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital. Online condolences may be left at www.therungemortuary.com. Dan was born May 8, 1945 in Davenport, the son of Alfred P. and Eleanor (Benish) Jensen. He graduated from Central High School in 1963 and attended Augustana College He started working at Eagle Signal Corp. in Davenport and received his apprenticeship for tool and die. He spent thirty-one years working at Case IH prior to his retirement. He also served in the Marine Corps Reserves. His hobbies included: hunting, playing pool and bowling, having bowled on several area leagues and being a long-time member of the Men’s Bowling Association. He proudly built his own duck-blind and was a former member of the Moose Lodge. Dan was an avid Green Bay Packers and Iowa Hawkeye fan. He was united in marriage to Jorja A. Inloes on July 28, 1967 in Rock Island. Those left to honor his memory include his loving wife of forty-four years, Jorja; daughters: Angie (Jay) Harris, Bettendorf and Amy (Todd) Guerrero, Eldridge, IA; grandchildren: Zachary, Brennan (Erin) and Katie Harris; Lindsey, Danny, Devin and Nicholas Guerrero; great granddaughter, Alyssa Harris; sister, Jean (Gary) Marti, Bettendorf, sisters-in-law: Debbie (Tomm) Mosenfelder; Crissie (Jim) Davis and Tammy (Vern) Orton and many loving nieces and nephews. His parents and a brother, Donald preceded him in death.
