I was deeply saddened to hear of Charles’s passing. While our lives took different paths, I will always remember the love and care he gave to our children and the good memories we shared during our time together. His impact on our family is lasting, and he will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved him. My heartfelt condolences to everyone mourning his loss.

Charles always had a good attitude, smile, so funny and smart !!! He stayed positive even while facing his own health challenges. We all enjoyed watching the Iowa girls basketball and the Indiana Fever together. Charles also was also a Kansas City Baseball fan and a KC Chief Fan . He made my dad Jack feel welcome upon arriving at the Alverno that was much appreciated by our whole family. He quickly became my dad’s best friend . Those who were  fortunate enough to get to know him were truly blessed. Charles so loved the lord. Rest well in heaven our dear friend !!!

Charles was a dear man with a strong spirit.  He loved his God and understood who God was to him.  He had a great affection for scripture, and I enjoyed having him attend my Bible Study class each week.   His love for Jesus was infective and he knew what was expected of him as a believer.  I enjoyed talking to Charles about life things as well.  Like him I struggle with my weight and when talking to him I learned that he too had done intermittent fasting.   We had many wonderful discussions about life and God and about living in this world.  I really miss having him here to talk to.
