Cecilia Pordon-Johnston

Her final resting place will be in Davenport Memorial Park with family. Military Honors will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 12, in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.

Cecilia was born on September 25, 1952 in Anamosa Iowa to Kathleen Bean (Wallace). She attended school at Saint Peter in Temple Hill and graduated from Maquoketa High School in 1970.

Cecilia was proud of her service in the Army and Iowa National Guard, dedicating 31 years of her life in service to her country. She was united in marriage to Gary Johnston on June 18, 1989 in Davenport in the garden at Duck Creek Park. They went on to enjoy 35 years together as a family.

Cecilia enjoyed her shopping trips to K-Mart. She loved her dogs Puppy and Molly, she would spend time taking them on walks and playing with them.

She is survived by her loving husband Gary, sons Christopher Pordon and Eric Johnston(Jill), siblings Richard and Rachel Wallace, granddaughter Oaklynn Johnston, and aunt Margaret Fowler.

She is preceded in death by her mother, her stepfather John Bean, mother and father in laws Forrest and Frances Johnston.

In honor of her memory memorials may be made to the Scott County Humane Society, where she generally donated to.
