Casey Robert Krager, at the age of 18, was tragically lost on Friday December 1st in a car accident. As strong as Casey was, as tough as Casey was, the collision was something that he could not overcome. To celebrate Casey’s life, there will be a visitation at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Bettendorf from 10am until the time of service at 1pm on Saturday, December 9, 2023. Casey was born on March 16, 2005, to Jeffrey Krager and Nadine Fetters. Casey graduated from Bettendorf High School in 2023 and was enrolled at the University of Iowa at the time of the accident. Casey was a remarkably talented young man. He possessed all the attributes parents would want and desire from their child. He was kind, polite, athletic, funny, smart, and more than anything, beautiful on both the inside and outside.
Casey had passion for baseball and thrived at becoming a better player, but more than anything, a better teammate. He was unselfish. He was reliable. He was a hard worker. He was positive. He was good. But more than anything, he was a leader and a role model to a lot of people. The only thing Casey loved more than baseball was his friends, family, and more than anything, he loved his brother Cooper the most. I think that everyone, young and old, looked up to Casey at one point and time, just because he was that kind of kid. As a parent just said to me, “You always knew when Casey was in the room because he lit it up immediately.” No truer words have been spoken. To have known Casey was an honor to most, to be Caseys parents, was a blessing that will never be matched.

Stepsisters Samantha and Sydney Fetters. Uncle Justin (Danielle) Krager. Aunt Nicole (Robert) Garrigues. Cousins Brady and Kamryn Krager, AJ Garrigues and Mitchell (Katherine) Celik Jennifer (Paul) Holsclaw, Jessica (Dennis) Michiels. Great aunt Christine (Abe) Celik. Great uncle Ed (Lynne) Peterson. And of course, his beloved pets, Sammy, Louie, Benson and Charlie.
