Carl K. Wall

Carl K. Wall, 40, of Davenport passed away unexpectedly Thursday, February 02, 2012 at Genesis East Medical Center. Cremation will be done with a memorial service to be held 10:00AM Saturday (2/4) at the Runge Mortuary & Crematory. The family will greet friends an hour prior to the service and burial will follow in the Calamus Cemetery Calamus, IA. Memorials may be made to the family. Carl was born July 2, 1971 to Marline E. Love in Mansfield, MO. He was united in marriage to Kathy Schulz on April 21, 2007 in Davenport, IA. Carl had worked for 9 years with SMS Millcraft Davenport and more recently was working at Linnwood Mining & Materials, Buffalo, IA. One of Carl’s proudest moments, when he was between jobs, was getting his GED in two weeks with a little help from his friends.

Carl loved to ride his Harley, especially with his wife Kathy on the back. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt. His outdoor adventures allowed him to spend time with his friends and son Josh which created many Carl stories. Being very social, Carl loved to be the center of attention and make sure everyone had fun. He will be deeply missed.

Survivors include his wife Kathy, Davenport; Son Josh Wall, Davenport; 9 Brothers & Sisters Lawrence “Pep” (Debbie) Laschanzky, Springfield, MO, Anne Underwood, Seymour, MO, Lelia (Don) Oney, Blue Grass, IA, Byron (Stacy) Simmons, Illinois City, IL, Kevin (Connie) Wall, Davenport, Eyvonne (Fred) Smith, North Platt, NE, Marie Knapp, Heber Springs, AR, Jacki (Mark) Yancy, Clinton,IA, Brent (Stephanie) Wall, Davenport; 1 uncle; 2 aunts; and numerous nieces & nephews.

Carl was preceded in death by his mother, grandparents George & Edna Love, and an aunt.
