Brien Paul Shannon

Brien is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Nancy Shannon, of Davenport. He is also

survived by his sister, Debra Courtney (Smiley), of Indiana, and nephews Michael and Tim.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Bernard Rio Shannon and Margaret Litton and his

brother, Chris Shannon, previously from Davenport, Iowa.

Brien grew up in the Davenport area and graduated from West High School. He served in the

United States Navy for a brief time. He then went on to work in the home construction and

remodeling business before retiring.

He was very interested in current events, science-fiction, learning and was a voracious reader,

always having books on hand! He loved a good, challenging video game to also keep his mind

active. He was an enthusiastic Hawkeyes and Bears fan!

Family has privately honored and remembered him.
