Brian Douglas Romer Jr.

Brian Douglas Romer, Jr, 17, of Davenport left this world and the ones who loved him too soon on Friday, December 8, 2017. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, December 15, 2017 at the Runge Mortuary. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Saturday, December 16, 2017 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be in Oakdale Memorial Gardens at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family to be disbursed over several charities. Online tributes and condolences may be expressed at www.rungemortuary.com. Brian was born November 7, 2000 the son of Brian Sr. and Karen L. (Gramm) Romer. He was currently a junior at Bettendorf High School. Brian was a dedicated Boy Scout of six years. He enjoyed trapshooting, hunting, fishing, swimming, hanging out with his friends and volunteering every Thursday at the Bettendorf Library. Brian had a very giving heart who tried to help everyone, never meeting a stranger. Those left to honor his memory include his parents, Brian and Karen; sister, Karissa Romer; brothers, Garret and Pierce Romer, all of Davenport; maternal grandparents, Ted and Kathy Gramm; special loved ones: Shawna, Tabitha, Abagail and Kyle; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Brian was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Douglas and Doris Romer.
