Brian was born on June 17, 1976 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Clarence and Linda (Posch/Morrison) Kuklok. Brian was always known for his warmth of character and ability to make friends easily. Brian had a contagious laugh and lively spirit. He grew up playing hockey and spending time with his large extended family. Brian moved to Iowa where he graduated from Pleasant Valley High School in 1994. Brian gained the name “Klucker” when someone brutally mispronounced his last name, and it stuck like glue. Brian became a Journeyman Electrician and joined the IBEW Local 145 in 2001. Klucker later shared his passion for his Union by serving as a Union Representative.
Brian loved his hometown of LeClaire, IA where he served many years on the Volunteer Fire Department, volunteered at Tugfest, and Spun the latest hits at The Riverview Roadhouse as “DJ Klucker”. Klucker enjoyed the deep friendships rooted in his hometown. Klucker enjoyed spending time with friends boating, camping, Riding Motorcycles, PJ Poker Runs, Grilling Competitions, hanging at the shop, and having a drink and shooting the breeze. Klucker was the kind of friend that made you laugh until your eyes fill with tears.
Brian met the love of his life, Kelli McCallister in January 2013. Hand in hand they built their life together, made their home, and raised Duke, their adored Basset Hound with the velvety ears. Their steadfast commitment for each other grew and sustained them through the best of times and the harrowing challenges. Hand in hand, Klucker and Kelli remained steadfast until his last breath slipped from his lips.
Brian was deeply committed to his family. Brian took an active role in being a Son, Brother, and Uncle. Klucker would honor his mother by attending Christmas Eve services at Our Lady of the River Catholic Church. Brian was an advanced prankster with his siblings. Klucker cooked for his family, often making Klucker burgers, chicken wings, and beef jerky and anything with bacon and mushrooms. Uncle Brian had a special place in his heart for the kids. He was reliable, supportive, and would sneak them some sodas, candy, cookies and chips which made him an instant favorite. He will be forever loved and missed. Brian is survived by His Love, Kelli McCallister; His Father, Clarence Kuklok; His siblings, Rick (Carrie Petersen) Kuklok and Tammy Kuklok; Nieces and Nephews, Lani (Brett) Mueller, Nickolus (Breanne) Kuklok, Tyler Kuklok, and Parker Kuklok.
