Brenda J. Bogan

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Brenda J. Bogan, 59, of Bettendorf will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the Mount Moriah Jehovah-Jireh Church of God In Christ. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Davenport. The family will greet friends on Wednesday evening at the church from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Brenda died unexpectedly at the home of her son on Sunday, December 23, 2018. Cunnick-Collins Mortuary and Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.

Brenda Joyce Bogan was born on May 23, 1959 in Nashville, AR, the daughter of Moses and Ruthell (Fountain) Bogan. She spent the majority of her adult life as a homemaker, Mom, and Grandma. She loved listening to music, cooking and most especially spending time with her family.

Surviving members of the family include - her Daughter Alecia Bogan of Davenport; 2 Sons: Teriano (Jennifer July) Bogan and Christopher (Ashley Novak) Bogan both of Davenport; her Mother: Ruthell Bogan of Davenport; 2 Brothers: Joe Bogan and Ray (Shannah) Bogan; 4 Sisters: Jonita Davis, Virgie Phelps, Michelle Jack, and Sheila (Carlton) Gibbs; 10 Grandchildren: Breanna, Chale, Shaianne, Malasia, G'Sani, Teranee, Tiana, Terran, T.J., and Mason; and 4 Great-Grandchildren: Harleigh, Aarien, Ja'Nayan, and Malaya.

She was preceded in death by her father, a sister: Vanita; and 3 brothers: Clemment, Larry, and Rickey.

Memorials may be made to the Mount Moriah Church.
