Betty J. Wulf, 89, of Bettendorf, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 31, 2012 11:30 a.m. at The Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be held Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the mortuary. Burial will follow in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.

Betty was born March 2, 1923 in Davenport, IA to Thomas & Emma (Huettmann) Jansen. She was married to William E. Wulf on August 5, 1948 in Hollywood, CA. He preceded her in death on November 10, 2006.
Betty attended the University of Iowa and LA City College before graduating from St. Vincent’s Hospital School of Nursing in LA, as a Registered Nurse. After working a number of years at Mercy and Convalescent Hospitals in Davenport, she joined the Davenport Community School System as a Registered Nurse at West High School, from where she retired in 1986.
Betty was a member of the Red Hat Society and very active with the Class of 1942 Davenport High Reunion Committee. Betty spent many hours volunteering at Handicapped Development Center and Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House.
Survivors include two sons & a daughter in law, Tom Wulf of Anaheim Hills, CA and Pete & Mary Wulf, Princeton, Iowa; In-laws, Bob & Betty M. Wulf, Bradenton, FL, and Richard & Ruth Wulf, Des Moines, IA; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband, sister, Elfriede Jansen, and beloved dog, Sugar
