Betty M Kahl

Betty Marie Kahl of Davenport, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2023 at Genesis East Medical Center. Per her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. There will be no services at this time. Online condolences may be left at www.rungemortuary.com.

Betty was born January 7, 1929 in Dallas Center, IA. She was the daughter of Harrison and Myrtle (Lynch) McKinney.

She married Andrew “Andy” G. Kahl on August 11, 1957 in Grimes, IA. He preceded her in death on February 24, 2005.

Earlier in life she had worked at the Black Hawk Film Company. She retired from Uticor after many years of service. She was a former member of Newcomb Presbyterian Church and enjoyed flower gardening in her free time. She also was an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan.

Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Donna Morgan, Davenport, grandsons: Chad Turnquist, Eldridge, IA, Micah (Lindsay) Bear and Ian Bear, all of Homer , AK; great grandchildren: Brianna and Nolan Turnquist, Coraline and Soren Bear and Solomon and Sawyer Bear with one more great grandchild due in August along with several nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by a son in infancy, daughter, Peg Morgan, sister, Mickey Huber and a brother, Jay McKinney.
