Barbara was born November 23, 1970 to parents Janet (Moock) and John Latchaw. She graduated from Davenport West High School in 1989. Barbara went on to attend Western Illinois University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree. After performing a work study for Iowa American Water in high school, Barbara decided to pursue a career path with the company. She worked various positions there and most recently had been an Engineering Technician. Throughout her thirty some years with the company, Barbara made many great friends.
In her spare time, Barbara enjoyed reading books, collecting antiques, collecting Buddha figures, and listening to music like the Grateful Dead. Above her own passions, Barbara had a helpful spirit and never hesitated to lend a hand to those who needed her. Despite her cancer taking her away much too soon, her kind nature and love lives on forever.
Barbara is survived by her mother, Janet Latchaw, her brother Graham (Alana) Latchaw, and many beloved cousins, aunts and uncles and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father John Henry Latchaw.
