Ardis I. Smith

Ardis I. Smith, 90, of Bettendorf, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, January 12, 2015 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. There will be no visitation. Mrs. Smith was born October 17, 1924 in Twin Valley, MN, a daughter of Melvin and Hildur (Bjerkley) Gunderson. She married Vearl Smith on July 4, 1945. He preceded her in death in 1993.

Survivors include three sons, Gerald (Linda), Virgil (Nadine) and Larry (Melinda); ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and siblings: Melva Boreen, Fargo, ND; Shirley Thronson, Ada, MN; Donna Olsen, Hibbing, MN; Beverly Williams, Denver, CO; Wayne Gunderson, Hibbing, MN and Bud Gunderson, Virginia, MN.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Jason, brother, Jewell Gunderson and sisters, Elaine Boreen, Adell Korsgaden and Janice Jean Gunderson. .
