Anthony L. “Tony” Dearborn, 40, of Bettendorf passed away Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at 2:30 PM at The Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the mortuary. Memorials may be made to the family. Tony was born April 8, 1973 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire the son of Robert and Frances Dearborn. Tony attended Bettendorf High School. Tony received a kidney and pancreas transplant at the University of Iowa Hospital in 1989. After a few short years he rejected the kidney and began dialysis at Genesis.
He enjoyed going out on Tuesdays and Thursdays with New Choices. A special thank you goes to Gary Rodgers, Lauren Smith and Linsey.
Survivors include his half brothers, Victor Pelletier and Kenneth Shuppy and his always caring mom and step-dad, Frances and Gary Shuppy.
