Anna and Al were a wonderful pair. They were loving and caring to so many people.  Betsy and I will always remember our visits and how they inspired us to work on making our marriage and family better. We will always remember Anna's sweet smile and love for Al.

Anna was a wonderful, sweet lady who brought great joy to our family. We loved her annual Christmas letter with reports on travels, community festivals, garden production, food put by and, most importantly, connections with family and friends. Visits with Al and Anna were always delightful and full of great stories.  Anna paid special attention to each of our children (six in all) and connected with them as they grew up and married. Our children have special memories of visits from Al and Anna as they traveled the country. Anna and Al always shed a positive light on everyone's life and made each person (and our family dogs!) feel special. We miss Anna greatly.

I wonder if the person who was kind enough to post the engagement announcement and the farming picture would be kind enough to email a copy to me at ebucks@yahoo.com or post them somewhere else online and share a link.  The thumbnails on this site are  nice, but they just aren't large enough to make out the words or finer details.  Thanks.

Al and Anna happened to be traveling through Oklahoma and called to ask about stopping by.   I let them know that they happened to be passing through for my graduation. I won't forget how enthusiastic Anna was about being there.  And it was her enthusiasm for being there that made the biggest impression and made graduation special.  Her Christmas letters were always a highlight of the season, too - - so full of detail.  Truly a bright, caring lady.  I'm so glad for the times we had to get to know her and Al better.

Who could forget our 4th of July picnics and the "book" keeping track of them. I remember looking at her photo album of one of the many trips she and Al took together. I was constantly amazed at her memory for detail and the wonderful Christmas letters she would send us each year.

Our family has wonderful memories of Ann.  We enjoyed hearing about her favorite sports teams.  She was especially fond of Chuck Long, so very thrilled to have met him and had a picture taken with him. 
She talked about their trips and how she planned them.  We enjoyed hearing about their trip out West to Hoover Dam and the Alaska trip. What an accomplishment for them to have visited 49 States.
Ann could cook and shared some awesome recipes.
We and many others looked forward to her Christmas letters.      
We feel really blessed to have had Al & Ann's presence at family reunions and 4th of July for as long as I can remember.

Sending love and prayers at this time. Thankful for the memories I have of Anna when I was growing up. She was always very encouraging to her great nieces and nephews. She sat through many band concerts through the years.

I remember Anna as a very intelligent lady who loved talking about the Hawkeyes.  She knew her facts!!!
