Alvin P. Tank, age 73, of Davenport, Iowa passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at Genesis East Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at Weerts Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m until the time of the service. Alvin was born in Davenport to John and Leona (Wenndt) Tank. He graduated from Davenport Central High School in 1967. He was united in marriage to Nancy Conner on December 10, 1973 in Davenport. Alvin retired from John Deere in 2011 after 40 plus years of employment, he held several positions within that time.
Alvin enjoyed spending time with his family and church family. He also enjoyed his many trips to Branson, MO. and Johnson City, TN. especially visiting with Sharon and Joe.
Survivors include his loving wife Nancy, children, Alvin Jr. (Sarah Vinar) of Rock Island, Leigh Ann (Joel) Van Soelen of Davenport; 1 grandson Hunter Van Soelen of Winterset, IA.; Sisters Shirley Weston, Janice Simmons, Marian Stroupe, Sharon Meister, Theresa Hodges; Brothers Mel Tank and John Tank; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by parents, 3 brothers Albert, Robert, and Terry.
