Aaron was born on May 25, 1972 in Davenport, IA, to Gary and Joyce (Sample) Carter. He was a 1990 graduate of Riverdale High School in Port Byron. He worked for 25 years as a train conductor for CP Railroad.
Aaron was generous, loving, fun, and the greatest storyteller. He had a “quick smile”, making friends easily and never met a stranger. In his earlier years he was grandpa’s right hand man and helped with the farm. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and cooking. Aaron also loved spending time at the family cabin in Northern Minnesota. He was an avid NASCAR fan, a strong supporter of the military and veterans, and a 25 year Mason.
Those left honoring his memory are his mother, Joyce; sisters, Rachelle Carter of Bettendorf, IA, and Alaina Carter of Rock Island, IL; his favorite niece, Hailey Clark of Bloomington, IL; special cousins, Susan and Brad Wentz of St. Augustine, FL; along with many cousins, extended family, and his 2 favorite four-legged friends, Zeke and Bella.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gary; and grandparents, Bill and Garnett Weis and Walter and Faith Sample.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff at Trinity Terrace Park for the extraordinary care they gave Aaron and his family.
