Age 78, of Dartmouth, originally from Buckingham, Quebec, passed peacefully with family by his side on May 21, 2019 in the Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Ottawa, he was a son of the late Alan and Dorothy Baldwin. Survived by wife of 54 years, Marion “Barney”; children, Alan (Cathy), Jennifer (Steve) and Grant (Karen); grandchildren, Ian, Luke, Lee and Max; siblings, Robert (Laurie), Jane (Paul) and Mike. Jim was retired from Ford Canada. He was an avid golfer, had a passion for curling as well as British Motorcycles and was a ‘patient’ fan of the Toronto Maples Leafs. Jim loved family gatherings and spending time with his grandchildren at their different activities. Special thanks to the ICU team in the Dartmouth General Hospital for their care and compassion. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 26, 2019 from 2-4pm & 6-8pm. Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, May 28th at 1pm, all in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home, Dartmouth. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Prostate Cancer Canada.
