With heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Stephen Jay Tancock on Monday December 9, 2024 at his residence in Eastern Passage, NS at the age of 61.
Stephen was a carpenter by trade and he loved helping family and friends with home projects. He was an avid astronomer and was obsessed with space. A member of the RASC for many years and at one time president.
He was a massive movie buff and enjoyed going with friends and his sons.
Stephen will be forever missed by his devoted wife of 39 years, Shelley, his sons Alex (Heather) and Gregory (Candice) and his four grandchildren Gracie, Lucas, Ethan and Oliver. Also feeling the loss are his brother Allan (Betty) Tancock and sister-in-law Linda Tancock and Ellen Tancock and many nieces and nephews.
Stephen was predeceased by his parents, Theodore and Gladys Tancock and in-laws Alfred and Ellen DeBaie, brothers Theodore and Michael, sister-in-law Darlene, nephews Ryan DeBaie and Michael Baker. Also best friends Chris Ryan and Ryan Balcom.
Following his wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no service.
