Shirley Irene Mcdow

Shirley, Our Mother, Nanny, Nana, Sister, Aunt, and the best Friend to many. Shirley will be sadly missed from all who loved this gentle soul. Shirley gave her whole self to Jesus and she went to meet our heavenly father on her Birthday July 14/2022 with all of her precious family around her helping her pass peacefully.

Shirley was 85 years old, born on July 14/1937 in St. George NB the daughter of Jack and Mary Henry-Brown of Upper Letang NB. She wanted to hold on until this date to pass, she didn’t want to leave her family. She was the wife to Robert Frederick McDow (Bob), She leaves behind her children, Crissy McDow-Thomson & Fiancé Mike Thomson, Patricia MacGillivray & husband Angus, Son Robert (Rob) McDow, and Son David McDow in heaven. She will miss her sisters Marjorie Savoie, Mary Benoit, Marie Pawlyk, and siblings who passed, Leonard Brown, Vance Brown, and Sister Betty Fraser.

Shirley loved to Work at Eatons, Lighting Unlimited and Hallmark at the Mic Mac Mall. She enjoyed her Grandchildren who she will miss, Danny Pembelton with Kelly, and children Braden, Ella, Brook. Tammy Turnbull, with Peter, and children Charlotte, Georgia. Tiffany Forrest with Mitch, and children Aidan, Austin, Maverick, Martin, Ivy, Chloe, Riley, Ethan. Mellissa Wilson with Cuyler, and children Jenna & Jaxson. Cody McGillivray with Kelsey. Alex Tobine with Rodney. Cameron McDow. Chad Mcdow with Michele, and children Araya. Chase McDow.

Cremation has taken place and the visitation and celebration of life to be held at 22 Rannoch Rd Dartmouth B2X 1J6 July 17/22 at 11 am, with Moms dearest friend Edie Goulet officiating. Mom wanted wine, beer and light food to be served to special people with happy faces and celebrate her life.
