Sandra Horrocks

Horrocks, Sandra - Passed away peacefully with family at her side on December 29, 2017. Born in Pittsburgh, PA in 1935, Sandra immigrated to Canada in 1971, residing in Dartmouth, NS with her family. She was predeceased by husbands Captain Carl Evankovich, USAF in 1962, and Dr. Norman Horrocks OC in 2010. Survived by children Julie, husband Cameron Shelley and their daughter Corinna - Guelph, ON; Scott and sons Carl and Logan – Dartmouth, NS; Gina and partner Jill Buchholz – Whidbey Island, WA; Annie and husband Rob Baert and their children Nick, Bethany and Lily – Dartmouth, NS; Sarah and husband Éric Beaumier and her children Sammy, Elijah, Caleb and Chloe – Beloeil, QC. Also survived by her brothers Christopher (Gerda) Sheriff – Germany, and Rodney Sheriff – California.The family would like to thank NS Palliative Care and the VON – with special thanks to Darlene Embers and Michelle Williams. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be conducted at a later date. Donations to Feed Nova Scotia or to the Dalhousie Horrocks Leadership Fund would be appreciated.
