Sandra Elizabeth Fader

Sandra was involved in minor sports and once served as the president of the Central Dartmouth Minor Baseball Association. She was a strong supporter of many groups throughout the city through her volunteering efforts. Early in her career she was a hairdresser and ran a beauty salon in downtown Dartmouth. Following this she went to work at the old Halifax Infirmary and then moved to the eye center at the Victoria General. Sandra was a long time member of Grace Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Robert; sons, Nicholas (Tracy), Calgary, AB, David (Trish), Dartmouth, Richard (Christine), Ottawa, ON; brother, Eric (Heather) Mott; eight grandchildren: Graham, Kristen, Jack, Alec, Sydney, Grace, Rowan and Bryce ; as well as several nieces and nephews: Steven, Betty, Marc, Dana, Hayley, Laura and Eric Jr.

Visitation will be held on Sunday December 7, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland Street, Dartmouth. Funeral service will be 10am Monday December 8, 2014 from the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, 2096 Windsor Street, Halifax. Interment will be at a later date in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens.
