It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Bob loving husband of 38 years to Lynda “Lange” (nee Langille) on December 12, in the Palliative Care Unit, VG Hospital. Bob is survived by daughters Tracy DePetris (Lino) and Lisa (John). His little guy, grandson, Colton, was his true joy and he loved taking him to Dairy Queen for ice cream and listening to Willie Nelson's “On The Road Again”. Grampy was sometimes a bad influence teaching him to play poker at age two and to call Nanny The Old Doll. Bob is also survived by brothers Keith (Ellen), Paul; sisters, Dianne, Linda and Nancy (Bud) as well as several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by mother Lillian May (Patterson); father, George Reginald and brothers Philip (in infancy) and Gerald “Jed”. Bob retired from CN after 38 years of service. He was one of the original starting members of the Metro Pool League (1972-2002). He was also a member of The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 160 where he ran the Saturday 9 ball tournaments. Bob was a backyard mechanic and spent many hours in his garage working on cars for others. His friends and family will surely miss his sense of humour even though it was mostly at their expense. Going to "The Camp" in Lawrencetown will never be the same for the family. Bob and I looked forward to our annual trips to PEI at Malcolm's cottage and travelling to the Caribbean with our friends. Many thanks to our family and friends for their support during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to charity of choice. Visitation will be held on Tuesday December 16, from 2-4 and 7-9pm in A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland Street, Dartmouth. Funeral service will be 11am Wednesday December 17, at Christ Church, 50 Wentworth Street, Dartmouth. A reception will follow in the church hall.
