

Haycock, Patricia Louise (RN Ret’d) – 68 of Westphal passed away peacefully on February 4, 2015 in the Q E II Infirmary site. Born in Margaree Forks, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Margaret (Chiasson) LeBlanc. Patricia graduated from Nursing in 1966 at the Halifax Infirmary Hospital and was a member of NSNU. She worked at the Halifax Infirmary and the Dartmouth General Hospitals for 41 years. She was a lover of animals, especially cats. She enjoyed gardening and caught the travel bug from her daughter Joanne. She was proud of her Cape Breton heritage, but if given the choice would have preferred to have been born in New Zealand. She is survived by her daughter Joanne, Dartmouth; cats Lucky and Zöe; grand dog Guiness; long-time friend Darlene; sister Florence (Eli), Michigan and Elizabeth, Inverness. She was predeceased by a sister Marjorie. A Celebration of Life/Kitchen party will be held from 2 – 4pm on Saturday, February 21, 2015 in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland St. Dartmouth. A private family burial will take place in Saint Michael’s Roman Catholic Church Cemetery in the spring/summer.
