Nason, Norma Marjorie (Smith)-78, of Dartmouth, passed away on August 10, 2012 at the Dartmouth General Hospital with her loving family at her side. Born in Rowena, Victoria Co., NB, she was the daughter of the late George R. and Marjorie F. (White) Smith. Norma gave up her career as the secretary to the Traffic Manager at M.T. & T to marry her high school sweetheart, Harold Nason. She refreshed her business talents in later years to manage her husband’s medical practice. She was a conventional and talented homemaker and mother. Norma loved words and spent many hours enjoying word puzzles and games. She was a gifted crafter and quilter. She leaves us with treasured memories and traditions, many of which will be carried on by those who knew and loved her.
Norma is survived by her husband of 56 years; brother, Gregory (Shirley); daughters, Beverley (Dennis), Tricia (Jim) and Donna; five grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her eldest daughter, Claire.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2pm Wednesday August 15th, at First Baptist Church, Ochterloney St., Dartmouth. A private interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Sharing Way at cbmin.org/cbm/the-sharing-way
