Dianne was employed in the banking industry for over 25 years. She was a member of St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church where she served on the Parish Council and Social Justice Committee. She was a member of the Board of Directors for the Canadian Pensioners Concerned, a founding member and a past president for Group Action for Individual Needs. In 1992, she received the Commemorative Medal of the 125th Anniversary of the Confederation of Canada. Her exemplary work in the community as a volunteer was recognized in 1996 by the City of Dartmouth.
Survived by her daughter, Catherine Dube, Dartmouth; sons, George Robb (Barbara), Lawrencetown, Gregory Hutchinson (Jesse), Dartmouth, Dale Hutchinson, Halifax, Timothy Roy (Jaime), Calgary, Brock Roy, Dartmouth; grandchildren, Neil and Paul Hutchinson, Ashley Harvey, Kevin Dube, Gabrielle Roy, David and Paul Robb.
Predeceased by her sisters, Helen Hemlow, Annie Reynolds; brothers Glen and Loran Stoddart.
Visitation will be held at A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland Street Dartmouth Monday, April 27, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral Mass will be held from St Peter’s Catholic Church Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 10am. Donations may be made to Dartmouth General Hospital.
