Age 88 of Dartmouth, died peacefully August 3, 2020.
Marie lived most of her life in Dartmouth. She was a gifted student who earned the highest marks in the province in ninth grade. Marie began her working life at the family store and later at Moir's Chocolates. She married George at age 19, and they remained together for 66 years.
Marie was an exceptionally kind and loving person who cared deeply for all those around her. She was a wonderful wife and Mom. All who entered her home received the warmest of welcomes and had great respect and affection for her.
Marie loved to walk and was a keen observer of the world around her. She loved and appreciated the beauty of nature and was the ''go to'' person for those wanting information on the wild flowers and birds she encountered on her walks.
Marie is survived by son, George “Skip” (Diane Leger) of Dieppe and daughter, Karen of Dartmouth. She is predeceased by husband, George; parents, Ralph and Lillian; sister, Eileen and brothers, Ralph “Bud” and Gordon.
