Marie Kathleen Nunn

Nunn, Marie Kathleen – 90, of Halifax, died peacefully on Friday February 17, 2012 at Oakwood Terrace. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late William Edward and Mary Agnes (Fahie) Stone. Marie was a long time member of Saint Catherine of Siena Parish in Halifax and an avid volunteer in her community. She is survived be her daughter Cathy (Greg) Grandy, Dartmouth; sons Jim (Judy), Cole Harbour; David (Janice), Coldbrook; sisters Betty Hindle, Aileen Irvine and brothers Frank and Kent Stone; grandchildren Leah and Joel Grandy, Heather Miller, Michael, Lauren, Stephanie, James and Matthew Nunn; two great grandchildren Isla Grandy and Liam Miller. She was predeceased by her loving husband, James Stephen Nunn; sisters Anne Bourgeois, Agnes Clark, Isabel McCarthy, Muriel Flinn, and brothers Richard, Bill and Perry Stone. Cremation has taken place under the care of A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home. A memorial mass will be celebrated in Saint Catherine of Siena Church, Bayers Road, Halifax at 10:30 am on Thursday February 23, 2012. Father Roberto Danato officiating. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville, NS. Family flowers only, donations can be made to a charity of choice.
