Terry and I were heartbroken to hear of Kevin's passing.   Kevin was a person who was able to see humor and possibilities in the darkest of circumstances.  His love for music seemed to be based on his innate love for freedom and joy and he spoke that into people’s lives.  You always felt better having spent time with Kevin...and even though we didn’t spend a lot of time together lately, we considered him a dear friend.  We are thankful he is out of this earthly body with its pain and on to a heavenly one.  We so wish that we were there today to attend the service but regretfully cannot.  We're sending our deepest and sincere love to Martine, Nathan, Simone, Luke, and little Forrest.

I was deeply saddened to learn of Kevin's passing. I have known Kevin since we were both in our early 20s, have played in three different bands with him, and had the pleasure of playing music with him again only a few weeks ago. He was a dear friend, whose unbridled enthusiasm for his family who he loved so deeply, for music that he loved, and for his friends, came from a very genuine and innocent place. During his bouts with illness over the last few years, I never once heard him complain - he instead celebrated the time that he had to pursue his interests and to be the loving husband, father, and grandfather that gave him such enjoyment and fulfillment. Wendy and I will miss him always.

I am saddened to hear of Kevin's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with Martine, his kids and grandson. He was so proud of his kids... so proud. He talked about them all the time and every time he did he smiled from ear to ear. We had greats talks over music, basketball and life in general. He was by far the coolest person to work at Eastlink. Rest easy, Kev Dog.

I just heard the news about Kevin.  My sincerest condolences to his wife Martine, and his children and grandson. He spoke of you guys all the time at work. We worked together at Eastlink. I can tell you, that he sat behind me in training class, and HE was the class clown. He never stopped talking and asking tons of questions, haha, he was hilarious. He was one of only a few of us who remained at Eastlink for years to come - he ended up going to the French team, as he was so fluent :) I can still hear the sound of his voice in my head. He was so kind, and loved his children, and his wife, and was so proud to be a Grampy. Kevin literally walked around our Call Centre on his breaks and lunches, to keep fit. In winter, you could count on seeing him walking around, he was an inspiration that is for sure.  I am so sad for all of you during this time. I lost my dad at 60 and it will be so hard for a while, and as time passes it gets easier to cope, but he will never leave your heart. Speak of him often and keep him in your thoughts. Sending lots of love and hugs to all of you, from Banff, AB. Take care of each other, and remember he is always with you no matter what. 

   I worked with Kevin at Yellow Pages for many years. Kevin had a great sense of humor. He lived life to the fullest. Will miss him dearly. To his wife and children my deepest condolences. Prayers to all of you.  

I first met Kevin  when I was transferred to Halifax.  My late husband like a Kevin was a music nut .well  our first morning we talked music and I told him of the concerts I had seen, the Kinks, J Giles, the Who etc.etc.  Well I guess he thought I must have been ok.  I moved back to Newfoundland and we stayed in touch. I had a great respect for the man, the husband, father and grandfather. I will always remember his smile, his wit , kindness and love of music. To Martina, his children , grandchildren and many friends who are mourning his loss our deepest sympathy.  Our lives are richer because our paths crossed. RIP my friend. The story I choose to remember of Kev at this moment may actually be an apocryphal one, but it speaks volumes to the kind of guy he was.  That on (at least) one occasion during his record store days,  he jumped over the cash counter to practically attack a customer with an album he was enthused about.  That was Kevin - the boundless, frenetic energy, the evangelical passion he had for the music that spoke to his soul, the unaffected and honest connection he felt with everyone who had the privilege to enter his world.  

To Martine and the children, to his beloved grandson and extended family, to all who now grieve his absence in their lives, my deepest heartfelt sympathies.  Tonight, I'm going to spend an evening with XTC in Kev's memory.  I think I'll start with 'Senses Working Overtime'.  Acutely aware of and grateful for the beauty of the world in all its impressions, that was Kevin to me as well.  Peace, Kev. 

Kevin always had a way of making you feel special even in the shortest of interactions.

This is a great photo of a wonderful man that we had the privilege of meeting and showing him around our home town of Portobello, Edinburgh, Scotland. We introduced Kevin and Martine to the delights of a fish supper, while walking along the promenade in Portobello. What a wonderful time we all had.  So much love for this special person. Rest In Peace, Kevin.

When I first met Kevin, he was behind a drum set, doing what he loved to do, creating incredible rhythms. I will never forget how he lost himself in the music, whether it was on a single snare, a full kit or a conga. It was a privilege to sing songs with the beats he created.  
As a person, he was everything one could hope to be; kind, funny, loving, friendly and devoted to his family. The world is a better place for having him in it for 60 years and a lot lesser now that he has left us in his physical form.  We know his spirit will live on in every one he touched over his lifetime, and when we hear a great drum riff, or see a Vespa scoot by, we will smile and think of Kevin.


 Kevin was a warm, kind, generous and funny human being.  Our paths crossed through work and I quickly recognized a wonderful, witty and intelligent person. 
Martine and family, please accept my deepest condolences. My thoughts  and prayers are with you during this most difficult time.
