Keith Carroll Ramey

Keith was born to humble beginnings, learning the value of a dollar and of hard work at an early age. At the age of 12, he took a job at his grandfather’s sawmill to help support the family.

At 16, Keith moved to the city, taking up residence in Eastern Passage. It was here that he met the love of his life, Marilyn.

In their early married life, Mr. Ramey served as an army reservist in the military, worked at an aircraft manufacturing plant and moonlighted as a door-to-door salesman.

He and Marilyn had three small children when he started interning at Service Investments, starting his long serving career in the financial world.

In 1975 he opened K.C. Ramey and Associates in downtown Dartmouth. His business grew exponentially over the next four decades, eventually Ramey Investments Inc. joined Assante Wealth Management in 2016.

Mr. Ramey was a pioneer in Nova Scotia in the world of Investing and Financial Planning. His dedication to his business and his family were unsurpassed.

In his spare time, Keith very much enjoyed the outdoors.

He will be greatly missed by all.

Mr. Ramey is survived by his adored wife, Marilyn Ramey (Sawler), his son Tim Keith Ramey (Adriana Maccario) and daughter Shelley Ramey (Ralph Wilson).

Mr. Ramey was grandfather to Alex, Kara, Luc, and Elena and great-grandfather to Ryan.

He will also be missed by his sister Marion.

Keith is predeceased by his parents Harold and Elizabeth Ramey, his son, Gary A. Ramey and his siblings, Genieve, Earl, Eugene, Shirley and Buster.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Dartmouth General Hospital or the Victoria General Hospital- Palliative Care Unit, 7A would be greatly appreciated.

A Funeral Service will take place at the Church of the Holy Spirit (1 Regency Dr., Dartmouth) on Friday, December 16th at 1:00 pm. Interment to follow at St. Peters Cemetery, Eastern Passage.
