It's hard to believe someone so young has passed. I remember when we were kids playing together. Heather used to carry a stick and if we stepped out of line, were bad, she would give us a swat with the stick. lol. we had lots of fun in them days. I remember going to bingo with your mom Edie, Blanch, you, and Ruth. They would always let us put relish on our fries. lol. From those days until now are just a blur. Rest in peace Heather. My heart goes out to your family. And I remember those big breakfasts your family used to eat. Steak, potatoes and eggs. yummy. And what about your Rabbit. I remember when you got him. Little tiny thing placing his dropping all over your mom's coach.

It was only last week I saw Heather on the bus we were joking about her driving.It was so good to see her we started school together in Woodside and true friends through to high school. Then Heather Joan and I working at the NovaScotia Hospital when we finished high school. Sleep overs playing Barbies Playing with her rabbit Snoppy, her Mom making us breakfast in the morning her Dad giving me a dollar on my Birthday. They were like my second family. I have many great memories of times at the house on McKenzie Street and many cold nights sitting on the Wall on Franklyn Street. Heather was always there being a true friend to all! 50 years we were friends, Heather  will be in my heart always I loved you girl like a sister. We had great times together. You touched many lives making us all better people. To your husband and children through the years whenever I saw Heather she always spoke of you she was very proud of the three of you always having a little to tell me about what was going on in her life. Heather, you will be missed by all who knew you. You made everyone feel welcome, you made them smile and laugh with you.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

Heather was loved by many but most important she loved many.
Although my visits to Halifax were few, the many  cigarettes on the steps of your house, my morning and evening chats with her are etched in my memory for life. Heather has touched the lives of many and I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love.

Heather your days with us were not long enough, now we will keep you alive by telling our storys of the days we were privileged enough to have with you! May you rest in peace and watch over us always. Forever in my heart, thoughts, and prayers. Thinking of family and friends, we are all going to miss you xo

My most sincere condolences. Heather was my first cousin and while we had not been in touch for several years she was always in our thoughts. Her passing is very sad and she will be missed.

Growing up in Woodside, Heather was always fun to be around. Happy, Cheerful, and a wonderful individual.

Heather will be sadly missed by  the Woodside gang. Our campouts will never be forgotten.
