George Edwin Scott Robb

It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of George at the age of 76 on December 2, 2023 at Ocean View Continuing Care Centre.

Born in Sydney, NS, George was the adopted son of the late Duncan and Helen Robb of Porters Lake.

He was predeceased by his sister Beth Penney (Kevin).

George is survived by his loving partner, Barbara Reynolds, sons Paul (Alicea) and David (Jacqui), step-daughter Jaime Reynolds (Andrew Carter), his sisters Faith Buott (Gerald), Hope Alexander, and half-siblings Cathy Roy, Tim Roy (Jaimie), Brock Roy, Greg Hutchinson (Jessie), Dale Hutchinson, and his cousin Ken Brown (Pat), as well as many nieces and nephews.

George owned and operated Seahawk Contracting for many years and he spent the last few years of his working life at Black and McDonald. George was known for his loyal friendship, wicked sense of humour and his delight in torturing his nearest and dearest with his dubious taste in music.

The family is deeply grateful to the staff at Ocean View for their compassionate care of George over the past 5 1/2 years.

The funeral service will take place on Monday, December 11th, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland Street, Dartmouth, NS, B2Y 1J5. There will be a reception following the service.
